Prabhas The Salaar actor is shooting for his upcoming film Kalki AD 2898.The film was announced under the working title Project K in February 2020 coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Vyjayanthi Movies.

 

The film is about Indian epic science fiction dystopian , based on Hindu scriptures and is set in a post-apocalyptic world in 2898 AD.It is directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by C Aswani Dutt. The film also stars Deepika Padukone which here debut in Telugu film, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patni, Kamal Hassan and many other in supporting roles.

Chech the first glimpse of the film.

It became the first Indian film to be presented at San Diego Comic-conprestigious “Hall-H” on 20 July 2023, where the makers unveiled the official title and glimpse of the film. Prabhas, Kamal Hassan, Nag Ashwin and many others attend the event.

 


Prabhas character was revealed in the occasion of Maha Shivaratri.

Filming began in July 2021 in a futuristic set at Ramoji film city, Hyderabad occurring sporadically in several schedules for the next three years till March 2024. The shooting took place in Hyderabad, Italy and in many other places.

 

The film’s music is scored by Santhosh Narayanan with cinematography by Djordje Stojiljkovic and production design by Nitin Zihani Choudhary.

The makers of thenannounced through a poster the film is  releasing on  9 May 2024  theatrically.

The poster was promoted in Delhi,Mumabi,Kashi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kashmir and in many other places.
