Suriya the South actor who has given many hit films in South Film industry .He recently announced his upcoming which is tentatively titled as Suriya 43. The movie is directed by Sudha Kongara. On Thursday, October 26, at 4 p.m. the makers of the film revealed the details of the film in a title announcement video. In the announcement video, the title of the film was not fully revealed. Instead, the filmmakers only disclosed one part of the three-word title: Purananooru.

It is a Tamil period gangster drama film written and directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by Suriya and Jyothika under the banner of 2D Entertainment and Meenakshi.
The movie’s music, including songs and a background score, will be composed by the blockbuster music director G. V. Prakash Kumar.
The Film is inspired by true events and tells the story of a gangster from Madurai who seeks revenge against his close circles for their betrayal. Suriya is said to be playing a dual role in the film, one of which is that of a young man who is drawn into the world of crime. Dulquer Salmaan is reportedly playing the role of Suriya’s close friend and confidant.
The film is currently in pre-production and is expected to go on floors in early 2024. The film is scheduled for release in late 2024.

Suriya will be also seen in Kanguva.
