Rajinikanth is a superstar in the South film Industry. He has worked in more than 100 films and was recently seen in Annaatthe film which grossed 250 crores at the box office. He will be next seen in his 169th film Jailer.

The film Jailer was announced in February 2022. The movie is directed by Nelson and produced by  Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures. The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

The movie also stars Shivarajkumar, Tamannaah Bhatia, Jackie Shroff, Mohanlal and Ramya Krishnan in pivotal roles and many others in supporting roles. It marks Shivarrajkumar’s debut in Tamil cinema.

The shooting began on 22 August in Chennai and in Cuddalore. In January 2023, a small filming schedule began in Jaisalmer. The following month, filming began in Mangalore and in March, the climax of the film was shot at Attirappily Falls, Chalakudy in Kerala.

The teaser of the movie is released, and the movie is releasing on August 10th,2023.
