Shaitaan film was announced in May 2023 with the title confirmed in January 2024. It is a supernatural horror thriller film directed by Vikas Bahl. It stars R Madhavan, Jyothika and Ajay Devgn in the lead roles. It is produced by Jyothi Despande.

The film is a remake of the Gujarati horror film Vash(2023) and was announced in May 2023,

The film is about a happy family, who go on a vacation to a secluded village, where they encounter a mysterious man, who claims to be their well-wisher. However, he has a sinister motive, and uses black magic to manipulate and torment them. The family soon realizes that they are in grave danger and must fight for their survival against the evil forces.

The film was shot in London, Mumbai and Mussoorie with filming taking place from June 2023 to September 2023.

The trailer of the film was launched today. Ajay Devgn, Jyothika, Madhavan and many others attended the launch event.
