Akshay Kumar was recently seen in OMG 2 film which is directed by Amit Rai. The movie is running successfully in theaters and grossed 220.49 crores at the box office. Akshay announced his upcoming movie Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue on Engineer’s Day. He shares the picture of the great  Jaswant Singh Gill, who is a great engineer from IIT Dhanbad, and captions it as” Happy #EngineersDay. The movie was announced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, and Deepshikha Deshmukh under Pooja Entertainment. The film is based on the life of Jaswant Singh Gill who rescued 65 mine workers during the Raniganj Coalfields collapse of 1989 in West Bengal. It was directed by Tinu Suresh Desai and produced by Vipul K Rawal.

Akshay is playing the role of Jaswant Singh Gill. The film also stars Parineeti Chopra who is playing the role of Nirdosh Kaur Gill, Jaswant‘s wife, Kumud Mishra, Pavan Malhotra, Ravi Kishan, and many others will be seen in supporting roles.

The music of the film is composed by Satinder Sartaaj, Prem Hardeep, Arko, Vishal Mishra, and Gaurav Chatterji while lyrics are written by Satinder Sartaaj, Kumar Vishwas, and Kaushal Kishore.

The first single Jalsa 2.0 was released on 16 September 2023. The song is sung by  Satinder Sartaaj, the Lyrics are written by Satinder Sartaaj, and the Music is Produced and arranged By – Prem & Hardeep.

The trailer of the movie has been launched on 25 September 2023.

The trailer is inspiring and fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the movie. The movie shooting started in July 2022 and was completed in August 2023. The shooting took place in the UK, Mumbai, and IIT Dhanbad Raniganj campus.

The movie is releasing on 6 October 2023
