Synopsis

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani is about Rocky Randhawa(Ranveer Singh), a loud and flamboyant Punjabi man, and Rani Chatterjee(Alia Bhatt), an intellectual Bengali journalist., .Rocky grandfather is ill and in search of his past love Jimmi who is Rani’s grandmother. Rocky grandfather is married to Jaya Bachchan who is a strict and narrow-minded woman who always controlled her family. Rani is a simple working woman. Rocky and Rani plan to meet up with their grandmother and grandfather and relive their love again. During this process, Rocky and Rani fall in love but their family were against this intercaste marriage. The duo decide to live with each other’s families for three months before getting married. Rani tries to get to know Rocky’s family and tries to convince them and Rocky tries to impress Rani’s family. After facing family opposition to their relationship finally gets married.
