Biography

Varun Dhawan ,the son of director David Dhawan was born on on 24 April 1987.His family belongs to a Punjabi family. He is one of the most talented actors in Bollywood. He has completed his studies in commerce and has a degree in business studies from Nottingham Trent University, United Kingdom. In his acting career, he worked as an assistant director to Karan Johar on the film My Name Is Khan. He made his film debut in Student Of the year film with Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra in 2012 directed by Karan Johar. Later he appeared in Main Tera Hero in 2014, a remake of the Telugu film Kandireega, which was produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and directed by his father David. In the same year, he was featured in a romantic film opposite Alia Bhatt, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania which is directed by Shashank Khaitan. In 2015 he got a Filmfare Award for Best Actor for Badlapur which was a crime thriller movie and is directed by director Sriram Raghavan. In the same year, he was seen with Shraddha Kapoor in ABCD 2 which is the sequel of ABCD which is directed by Remo D Souza. He was again reunited with Alia Bhatt Badrinath Ki Dulhania in 2017. He has acted in the films like Judwaa 2, Sui Dhaaga, Kalank, Dilwale, street Dancer, Coolie no1, and many more. He was recently seen in Jug Jugg jeeyo which stared Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Singh. He got married to Natasha Dala in 2021. His upcoming movies are Bhediya opposite Kriti Sanon and Bawaal opposite Janhavi Kapoor.
