Biography

Salman Khan was 27 December 1965 in Indore, Madya Pradesh. He belongs to a Muslim family. His full name is Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan. His father Salim Khan is a film writer, actor, and producer. Salman is the eldest son and has 2 brothers Sohail Khan, and Arbaaz Khan, and one sister Alvira Khan Agnihotri. He attended St. Xavier's College in Mumbai and dropped out. He began his acting carrier in 1988 in Biwi Ho To Aisi in a supporting role. He then appeared in Sooraj R. Barjatya's romantic film Maine Pyaar Kiya with Bhagyashree.In 1990, he appeared in the movies like Love, Baaghi, and Sanam Bewafa.In 1994, he worked with Aamir Khan in Andaz Apna Apna, a movie. Then he was seen in the romance Hum Aapke Hain Koun. Co-starring Madhuri Dixit. The film won 3 Filmfare Awards for Best Film, Best Director, and Best Actress. It also won the National Award for being the most popular film of the year. He acted with Shah Rukh Khan in the Karan Arjun movie. In 1999, he starred in three films Hum Saath-Saath Hain, Biwi No.1, and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam alongside Aishwarya Rai and Ajay Devgn. He later worked with Rani Mukherjee in Chori Chori Chupke Chupke in 2003. His best film from 2000 to 2009 are Tere Naam, No Entry, Mujse Shaadi karogi, and many others. He started hosting the show 10 Ka Dum's second season in 2009. He acted with Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor in the movies like Ek Tha Tiger , Tiger Zinda Hain, Bharath, and Body Guard respectively. In 2015, he appeared in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which was released on Eid, The film, grossed₹1.84 billion. In 2016, he was seen in Sultan, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar for Yash Raj Films. He was recently seen in Antim's movie in 2021 with Aayush Sharma. Salman hosted Khan also hosted Bigg Boss 8, Bigg Boss 9, Bigg Boss 10, Bigg Boss 11, Bigg Boss 12, Bigg Boss 13, Bigg Boss 14, Bigg Boss 15, Bigg Boss 16. Salman is a television presenter and promotes humanitarian causes through his charity, the Being Human Foundation. In 2011, he launched his own production company called SKBH Productions. In 2004 Khan was ranked as the 7th Best looking man in the world by People Magazine of the USA. Khan was associated with a brand when he advertised for Campa Cola, Limca Soft drink, Hero Honda bikes, and Double Bull shirts well before he entered the film Industry. He is now the second Ambassador along with Amitabh Bachchan for 'Emami Healthy & Tasty', 'Himani Best Choice' and 'Rasoi', apart from 'Bake Magi Salman has sung many songs like Hangover, Main Hoon Hero Tera, I Found Love, Yu Karke, Baby Ko Bass Pasand Hai,Tere Bina, and many others. He made a special appearance in a Marathi song with Ritesh Deshmukh, and Ved Lavlay. He will be next seen in Tiger 3 and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
