Dhanush the famous south actor was recently seen in Rayaan which was released on 26 July 2024. The film grossed 160 crores at the box office. The film is streaming on Prime video.

Dhanush will be next seen in 52nd film which is tenatively titled as D52 and D4 as it is Dhanush‘s 52nd and fourth film as a lead actor and director respectively.

The film titled   was announced a few days later as Idly Kadai. The film is directed by Dhanush himself, produced by Dhanush under Wunderbar films together with the newly-created production house Dawn Pictures. and also stars Nithya Menen and Shalini Pandey in the lead roles.

The music and background score is composed by G, V Prakash Kumar, in his ninth collaboration with Dhanush.The filming commenced with the first schedule on 16 September 2024 at the villages of Theni  district in Tamil Nadu.

The film is scheduled to be released in theatres worldwide on 10 April 2025.
