Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be seen together in an  Indian spy action television series Citadel:Honey Bunny and spinoff to the American television series Citadel on Amazon Prime video written by Sita R Menon and Raj and DK and directed by Raj & DK.

The plot is Years after stuntman Bunny recruited struggling actress Honey for a side gig, their dangerous past catches up with them, forcing the estranged couple to reunite and protect their daughter.

Filming of the series began in January 2023. The series was shot in Serbia and India. Filming wrapped on 13 July 2023.
