Randeep Hooda‘s film Swatantrya Veera Savarkar is running successfully in theatres. It released on march 22, 2024. It is historical biographical film on the life of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. It is directed, co-written and co-produced by Randeep Hooda who also plays the titular role of Savarkar.

He  shared the story behind his latest venture, a film on Veer Savarkar that’s already creating waves for its bold narrative, and his take on the Hindutva ideology. He says “I’ve always strived to be perfect; whether it was by intimidating Alia Bhatt on the sets of Highway to ensure the same effect on the screen, losing 20kg for Sarbjit, or now, 26kg for Mr. Savarkar’s biopic. Today, I don’t know if I’ve gotten my ‘due’, but I am thankful I went through what I did because if I had gotten success early, I would not have become the actor I am today”
