Vicky Kaushal will be seen in his upcoming movie Sam Bahadhur which is a biopic of Sam Manekshaw. In 2021 on the 107th birth anniversary of the late Sam Manekshaw the film was announced. Vicky is playing the role of Sam Manekshaw. It was directed by Meghana Gulzar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The first teaser of the film was released on 1 December 2022.

It also stars Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Neeraj Kabi, and many others in supporting roles.

The shooting started t on 8 August 2022 and The team wrapped on 14 March 2023. The movie was shot in ten locations in India including Jaipur, Kolkata, Punjab, Kashmir, and Delhi.
