Pooniyin Selvan 1 was released last year in 2022. The movie is directed by Mani Ratnam and stars Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha Krishnan, Sarath Kumar, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Jayram, Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and many others in supporting roles. The movie got a good response from the audience and grossed 500 crores.

Fans are eagerly waiting for PS2. The Cholas are back, and  the makers announced the movie is releasing this year.

The trailer and, music was launched today in Jawaharlal Nehru stadium in Chennai.


During the trailer launch, Aishwarya Rai who is playing the role of Nandini wore pink ethnic wear and looked dashing and walked on the red carpet. Trisha as Kundvai wore a beautiful blue saree.

The first song Aga Naga lyrical song is out.The song is sung by s sung by Shakthisree Gopalan and music is given by A R Rahman.The  Lyrics are written by Ilango Krishnan.

The movie is releasing on  28th of April 2023.
