Ponniyn Selvan I was released today worldwide in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. It stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Sarath Kumar, and Trisha Krishnan in the lead roles. The film was directed by Mani Ratnam and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the banner of Lyca production and Madra Talkies.

They promoted the movie in Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, and in many more places.

The audience are loving the movie and the effort made by the actors and director. They are expecting part 2.

The movie was also released in the USA and grossed a $ 1 million mark at the US box office from the premiere and the second Kollywood flick in history to achieve this feat. India grossed 50-60 crores on opening day.
