She has signed Mani Ratnam’s movie Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1. It is a historical fiction novel that tells the story of Rajaraja Chola I of the Chola dynasty.

It is Produced by Ratnam and Allirajah Subaskaran. It stars Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Sarath Kumar, and many more. The music is composed by A.R Rahman.
