Kabhie Kabhie fame Sagar Sarhadi a famous writer of Bollywood is no more at age 88!

Sarhadi died late Sunday evening after being in ICU for many days.
Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff commented on the death by sharing a monochrome picture on social media, which he captioned: “Will certainly Miss You… R.I.P.”

Sarhadi started his career in Bollywood composing dialogues for the 1971 for the movie Anubhav, where Sanjeev Kumar and Tanuja were leading roles, but he came to limelight after a few years when he worked for the multistarrer romantic movie kabhie kabhie. The leading roles of the film were played by Waheeda Rehman, Shashi Kapoor,Rishi Kapooor, Rakhi Gulzar, , Neetu Singh and none other than Amitabh Bachchan.
Sarhadi’s various other unforgettable jobs as an author include Doosra Aadmi (1977 ), Inkar (1977 ), Silsila (1981 ), Lorie (1984 ).
He created the movie script for Chandni (1989) which was another blockbuster hit starring Sridevi, Rishi Kpoor as well as Vinod Mehra— all 4 actors are no more today, besides Chandini was directed by Yash Chopra, died a few years back.
Then there was Deewana (1992 ), Rang (1993 ), and Kaho Naa … Pyaar Hai (2000 ), where he was associated as dialogue writer or screenwriter.
Sarhadi made his directorial debut with Bazaar in 1982. This social drama movie stars Smita Patil , Naseeruddin Shah and also Farooq Shaikh, and had unforgettable songs.
He directed Agla Mausam in 1988 as well as the TV show Yeh Ishq Nahin Aasaan in 1997.
Chausar was his last film as a director.Starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui as well as Amruta Subhash, the film released in 2018.
Sarhadi was born Ganga Sagar Talwar on May 11, 1983, in Baffa, Abbottabad, currently in Pakistan, and when he was 12 he came to Delhi. Before working as script writer in Bollywood he was writing Urdu short stories and some plays.
